Thank you for choosing Noma Earplugs. Made by artists, for the crowd. These earplugs lower the volume around you by about 24 dB while keeping sound clear and balanced, so you can enjoy live music, protect your hearing, and rest more easily afterwards.

How to insert and wear them properly

Make sure the earplug and your hands are clean and dry.
Reach over your head with one hand and gently pull the top of your ear upward to straighten your ear canal.
With your other hand, insert the earplug gently into the ear canal.
Twist slightly until it sits flush and creates a comfortable acoustic seal, without forcing it.
Repeat for the other ear. You should notice the volume drop evenly, not a muffled or blocked feeling.

If the seal feels wrong or uncomfortable, remove and reinsert. Never push an earplug deep into the ear canal.

Finding your tip size

Noma comes with four silicone tip sizes (S, M, L, XL). The right size gives a clean acoustic seal without any pressure. Your left and right ears may take different sizes, so try each one.

Too big: the earplug sticks out too far or causes pressure in your ear canal.
Too small: the earplug feels loose, or sound leaks in without feeling reduced.
Just right: it sits comfortably flush, does not fall out, and noticeably lowers ambient noise.

How to remove

Take hold of the earplug and remove it with a slow, gentle twisting motion. Do not yank it out quickly.

Cleaning and care

Silicone tips: remove them from the body and wash them with warm water and a little mild soap. Dry them completely before reattaching.

Earplug body: gently wipe the acoustic body with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the internal acoustic filter frame in water.

Let everything air-dry fully before storing.
Store them in the included case to keep them clean and safe.
Do not use alcohol, solvents or harsh cleaners.
Do not boil, microwave or machine-wash them.
Do not share your earplugs with others, for hygiene reasons.

Noma Earplugs are designed to reduce sound exposure and help protect hearing. They are not a medical device and do not treat, diagnose or cure any hearing condition. They reduce sound by approximately 24 dB but do not eliminate all risk of hearing damage.

Keep out of reach of young children. Small parts may pose a choking hazard.
Do not wear while driving or operating machinery where you must hear your surroundings.
Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if you feel ear pain, irritation or signs of infection.
Do not use if you have an ear infection or a damaged eardrum without medical advice.

Warranty and support

Every pair of Noma Earplugs comes with a 2-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing. This is in addition to the legal guarantees that apply automatically under EU and French law. See the full terms on our Terms of Sale page.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, email contact@nomaearplugs.com with your order number and a photo of the defect, and we will dispatch a replacement.
